About Niney
Niney is an open source software toolkit for interactive maps on the web. The Niney project is tasked with the maintenance and further development of the Niney software.
Our primary purpose is to build an excellent web mapping toolkit that is fun for developers and gives users the ultimate mapping experience. We invite engineers to contribute to this effort. The result so far is a mature and high quality software package.
Niney is flexible and easy to apply, to adapt and to extend. People all around the globe can use and deploy Niney for their own purposes. Niney can be found in several different places and in as many different configurations.
We believe that application developers should spend their time and energy on functionality instead of technical implementation. And that a model-driven concept, called data binding, is one great way to accomplish that. Niney currently works with two platforms that offer strong data binding features:
- Apache Flex (formerly known as Adobe Flex)
- HTML5, with AngularJS
(HTML5 support is in an early stage of development.)
Are you developing a rich Internet application that heavily relies on data binding? And are you looking for a mapping toolkit that seamlessly integrates into your application? Then Niney might be your choice. Contact us for more information.
Niney is:
- Open Source
- Flexible and extensible
- Model-Driven Architecture
- Rapid Development
- Seamless Integration
This results in an Ultimate Mapping Experience.
